Retirement age of specialists to be extended to 63
Verdict to be delivered today
The retirement age of specialist doctors is slated to be extended to 63 from 60, Daily Mirror learns.
The verdict regarding the matter will be delivered today (27).
A total of 176 specialist doctors have filed a petition in the Court of Appeal saying that it is unfair to change the age privilege from 63 to 60.
The specialists have been urging the retirement age to be revised to 63 as it is a contributing factor to the shortage of medical specialists in the country. (Sheain Fernandopulle)
