Chairman of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Prof. G.L. Peiris is to take legal action against a decision to convene the AGM of the party on 22 April.
The AGM has been convened by SLPP General Secretary, Sagara Kariyawasam.Prof. Peiris said this AGM was not a constitutional and decisions taken at this meeting would have no legal effect.
He says he has reserved the right to resort to appropriate legal proceedings in this regard.
